Privacy Policy
Trimmr LLC ("Trimmr," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Trimmr mobile application and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use the Service. Questions may be directed to support@trimmr-app.com.
1. Introduction
By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service.
2. Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your name, email address, phone number, authentication details, account identifiers, and whether you use the Service as a Barber or Client.
- Profile information. For Barbers, this may include a business or shop name, work types, business location, service radius, services, pricing, schedules, photos, reels, license or verification information, and other business details. For Clients, this may include profile preferences, saved location, distance radius, price preference, preferred styles or services, and saved Barbers.
- Booking information, such as appointments you make or receive, schedules, selected services, appointment location type, cancellation or deposit terms, payment method choice, and related status or history.
- Client-to-Barber payment and payout information. When optional in-app payments are used, Stripe may collect and process payment, identity, banking, tax, verification, dispute, and payout information. Trimmr does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
- Barber subscription and trial information. On iOS, Apple processes paid Barber subscriptions and any applicable 14-day free trial through Apple In-App Purchase. We may receive subscription-related information from Apple, such as product identifiers, transaction and original-transaction identifiers, trial or introductory-offer eligibility and status, purchase status, renewal status, expiration information, revocation or refund status, and entitlement information. Trimmr does not receive or store the full payment-card details associated with an Apple ID purchase.
- Location information, including approximate or precise coordinates when you provide permission or save a location, to support nearby discovery, distance calculations, mobile-service eligibility, and other location-based features.
- User Content, such as photos, videos, reels, audio, messages, reviews, and other materials you upload or share through the Service.
- Device and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, identifiers, crash or diagnostic information, feature interactions, and logs needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Communications, including messages you send to us for support, account requests, reports, moderation matters, privacy requests, or other inquiries.
3. How We Use Your Information

- Process account-deletion and privacy-rights requests;
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms, and protect Users, Trimmr, and others.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share information only as reasonably necessary to operate, protect, and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information.
Between Users
Barbers and Clients may see information needed to discover one another, communicate, and complete a Booking. For example, Clients may see a Barber profile, business location, services, prices, work types, service radius, availability, content, ratings, and other public business details. Barbers may see Client identity, contact, location, service selection, and Booking details reasonably needed to provide the requested service. Information visible to another User may depend on the feature being used and the Booking location type.
Service Providers and Platform Partners
- Apple distributes the iOS app and processes Apple In-App Purchase subscriptions, including billing, renewal, cancellation, refund, and transaction-status information under Apple's terms.
- Stripe processes optional Client-to-Barber payments, booking fees, deposits, refunds, payment disputes, identity verification, connected accounts, and payouts to Barbers.
- Supabase provides backend infrastructure, database services, authentication, server-side functions, and file storage.
- Twilio may send SMS messages for phone-number verification and other service communications where enabled.
- Resend sends transactional emails on our behalf, such as account, booking, payment, moderation, and security messages.
- Vercel hosts our website and related web infrastructure.
- Other vendors may provide analytics, diagnostics, security, communications, hosting, or operational services where reasonably necessary.
These providers process information under their own privacy terms and our applicable agreements with them.
Legal and Safety
We may share information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, investigate fraud, abuse, infringement, or safety issues, resolve disputes, or protect rights, safety, and property.
Business Transfers
We may share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction.
5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Payouts
5.1 Barber Subscriptions
On iOS, paid Barber subscriptions are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple controls the payment method, billing, renewal, cancellation, refund handling, and related purchase-account information under Apple's terms. Trimmr may send transaction identifiers or account-linking information to our backend to verify that a purchase is valid and associated with the correct Trimmr account. We use subscription information to grant, maintain, restrict, or remove paid-plan access.
5.2 Optional Client-to-Barber Payments
Optional in-app payments between Clients and Barbers are processed by Stripe and, where applicable, Stripe Connect. Stripe may collect payment, identity, banking, tax, verification, fraud-prevention, dispute, and payout information under Stripe's own privacy policy and terms. Trimmr does not store full payment-card details.
When a Client pays through Trimmr, the Client may be charged a separate booking fee disclosed before confirmation. The fee is separate from the Barber's listed service price and tip and may cover payment-processing and platform costs. Payments made in person are handled directly between the Client and Barber outside the Service.
Barbers who use in-app payments provide information directly to Stripe to establish and maintain a connected payout account. Stripe may use that information to verify identity, prevent fraud, comply with law, and process payouts.
5.3 Disputes and Fraud Prevention
If an in-app payment is disputed, Trimmr, Stripe, financial institutions, and card networks may use and share relevant account, Booking, transaction, service, location, and communications information to investigate the dispute, submit evidence, process reversals or offsets, recover amounts where permitted, prevent fraud, and comply with financial-network and legal requirements.
6. Location Information
Location features are optional but may be required for certain functionality. Clients may save a location and coordinates to discover nearby Barbers, apply a distance radius, calculate distance, and determine whether a mobile Barber serves the Client's area. Barbers may provide business coordinates and a mobile service radius so the Service can display their location and enforce mobile-booking eligibility.
Depending on how you use the Service, location information may come from a location you explicitly save, device location permissions, address or place selection, or information associated with a Booking. You can manage device-level location permission in your operating-system settings. Disabling permission or removing saved coordinates may limit nearby discovery or mobile-booking features.
We do not use a location label alone as a substitute for coordinates when a precise distance calculation is required.
7. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
- You can access and update certain account, profile, business, service, preference, and location information in the app.
- You can control location, camera, photo-library, microphone, and notification permissions through your device settings.
- You can manage Apple subscriptions, including cancellation during an applicable 14-day free trial, through your Apple ID subscription settings. Trial eligibility, cancellation, billing, and refund options are governed by Apple and applicable law.
- You may initiate account deletion through in-app account settings where available, or contact support@trimmr-app.com for assistance. Deletion removes or de-identifies profile and associated personal information except where retention is reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, tax, payment, dispute-resolution, moderation, or recordkeeping purposes.
- California residents may have rights under California privacy law, including rights to know, access, correct, or request deletion of personal information and to opt out of certain sharing where applicable. Trimmr does not sell personal information.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. To exercise a right, contact support@trimmr-app.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we collected such information, we will delete it. Users aged 13 to 17 may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, and payments by minors must be authorized as described in our Terms of Service.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, and we work with service providers that maintain security practices appropriate to their services. However, no method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as an account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, verify subscription entitlements, process payments and disputes, maintain financial and transaction records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, investigate abuse, and protect Users. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it in accordance with applicable law and our operational requirements.
11. United States Only
The Service is offered only to Users located in the United States. It is not intended for or directed to Users outside the United States and is operated using systems located in the United States. If you are outside the United States, do not access or use the Service.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice through a channel reasonably available for the Service, such as an in-app notice, an updated effective date, or email where appropriate. Changes apply on a going-forward basis from the stated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
